Davina's BIO:
Davina Reid is an actor and graduate from the previous American Stage, UCB style, Improv Program in 2016. She was a member of American Stage House Teams, As Per Usual and Small Talk, performing in several improv festival’s including, Del Close Marathon, in New York City. Davina has been writing sketches and performing skits since her youth with her little brother, with SNL dreams. Davina began focusing on the performing arts as a profession in 2009, studying at various schools in the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas.  Davina started teaching with American Stage Improv in 2018.  She can be seen in shows such as Chicago P.D. (NBC/Peacock), Cha Cha Real Smooth (Apple TV+) and Emmy winning Quiz Lady (Hulu/Disney+). She’s excited to teach Sketch Writing at American Stage with the joy of seeing people’s creativity and humor shine!

Have you ever been curious about acting? Begin your exploration of the actor's journey by learning techniques that every actor must know. In this class you'll learn the fundamentals of the craft and apply them toward creating a character in a monologue in a fun, supportive and stress free environment! This class culminates in a final sharing of works in progress for family and friends.

JOSE'S BIO:
Jose has been an acting teacher for over 30 years. A "go to" Philadelphia teaching artist he has taught beginner through advanced students at The Wilma Theatre and  The Walnut Street Theatre for many years and was on the theatre faculty as an adjunct professor at Temple University, University of the Arts, and Drexel University. He has taught a multitude of methods Meisner, Stanaslovski and the Uta Hagen acting technique. Jose believes that "there is great performance in everyone. Stepping into the shoes of a character helps us to see the humanity in them and allows us to deeply connect to ourselves."
